| Industry News: Goodwood Kartways - Team Scholarships |
Following a very successful introduction of their Arrive and Drive Rookie Series in 2006 and their most recent announcement of becoming the official Canadian Importer for INTREPID Racing Karts, Daniel Di Leo, President of Goodwood Kartsport Inc. is very excited about this new announcement.
“Last season, with the introduction of the Canadian Rookie Karting Championship, we witnessed over 800 racing enthusiasts compete at our facility over the course of the year. As you can imagine, offering this program to the public brought in drivers with many different levels of experience and/or talent. Continuing with our company goal of industry growth, we are very excited to announce the addition of 25 talented drivers to the Goodwood Kartsport Scholarship Team. These drivers have been hand picked by our staff, and under our guidance will compete in the 2007 Toronto Kart Club schedule.”
The Scholarship Team which is being introduced with the objective of recognizing talent from their Arrive and Drive series will see drivers of all ages take the next step in their karting careers. All drivers have committed to a very elaborate program which will see them participate in driver training sessions, mechanic seminars and of course race day events.
“All of our Scholarship Team drivers are very excited about this program. Their very own brand new Intrepid and/or F4-k racing karts are in transit as we speak and all drivers are scheduled for fitting in early March” stated Di Leo. “We are very focused on the growth of our facility, and with programs like these I truly believe the Ontario Karting Community will witness new levels of participation, and as a result very high levels of competition.”
Goodwood Kartways is very excited about their future. Stay tuned for more announcements. National Team driver signings, facility improvements, and much more. Details to be released soon.
