| Club News: Waterloo Regional Kart Club - BSRKC Kawartha Report |
The last checkered flag has been waived for the Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship for 2009. It marked an unparalleled level of success for the Waterloo Regional Kart Club as our club members claimed seven of the eight four stroke championships.
Leading the way with two championships was Scott Nagel; he claimed the top spot in both the Junior Lite and Junior Medium classes. Taylor Wassink from Millgrove, Ontario was the Cadet champion in only her second year of racing. Veteran racer Jake Collison had the Masters Class championship already locked up before the start of the final round held on Labour day at the Kawartha Speedway.
The BSRKC Novice championship was won by Clay Vaneerd who was the point’s winner in each round of the championship. Tristan Gill was the Junior Heavy champion. He entered the final race weekend with a slight lead in the championship, but locked it up with a race win as well. In Senior Heavy it was T.J. Marshall winning the championship after winning the first race of the season and never surrendering the lead in one of the largest fields of the BSRKC for 2009.
Winning a championship takes hard work and dedication the WRKC and all our club members congratulate all of the BSRKC champions for their success in 2009.
