| Race Report: Kawartha Durham Kart Club - Race #10 |
Another hot and sunny day as KDKC took to the track. Lap times dropped as the day progressed as all drivers began to fine tune their lines around the new track layout at Kawartha Speedway.
Fastest throughout the day was Senior Heavy driver Dennis Woods who finished the day with a win in the final, beating veteran driver Randy Packham in his Trailer’s by Jim Bray kart and Kevin Barry at the line. Kyle Hope looks to be unstoppable with a win ahead of “Gentle” Jon Miller in Senior Light.
Gaelen Palleske gets faster every week out and finished third, but it was Bailey Jacobs in first ahead of Ayrton Wakfer in the Junior Light class. Junior Heavy race winner and stock car prodigy Danny Benedict in his Kawartha Speedway sponsored machine showed his form on the banks of Kawartha beating Jaike Haywood in his Team Timeline kart.
Andre Fiorini made it look easy once again followed by Bailey Brown and Cole McFadden in his ProAuto kart in third.
Randy Packham in his Trailer’s by Jim Bray kart returned to the track after a brief time off to concentrate on work (apparently that’s important) and picked up right where he left off – with a win. Quinn Dewsbury came in second with John Beck on his tail in third.
The next race for the Kawartha Durham Kart Club will be Sunday, September 20 and will use another new track layout.
