| Club News: Kawartha Durham Kart Club - Race #11 |
Kawartha Durham Kart Club Race #11 is September 20.
Grab your helmet, climb in and hold on because KDKC Race #11 will be on a new track layout utilizing the super fast and wide front straight of Kawartha Speedway. Coming off of the north end banking, racers will continue down the front straight without using the pit straight.
Do you gear for the technical infield section or for what could be the longest and fastest straightaway in club racing? This is a good time to check that neck brace; the G-forces are going to be high.
Classes for the day include Novice, Junior Light and Heavy, Senior Light and Heavy, Honda Masters. 2-stroke classes will be included if quantities are sufficient. See the KDKC website for race day schedule and track layout. Visiting speed demons are always welcome to attend and test their mettle. Only $65 for both KDKC members and visitors. Spec fuel station for all 4-stroke classes is the Fraserville Esso, 1315 County Rd. 28 (just 500m south of the track).
As always, admittance is free for visitors wishing to watch a great day of racing. Find a spot to park, walk around the paddock and talk to any of the racers. You never know if you’re meeting the next great champion.
The Kawartha Durham Kart Club calls Kawartha Downs and Speedway their home. Located in Fraserville, Ontario (south west of Peterborough), this independent club - created, organized and run by volunteers, has always been focused on providing a fun, safe and family oriented yet highly competitive environment for go-kart hobbyists and budding race stars alike.
Don’t forget your camera.
