| Series News: CKI Florida Cup Contingency Awards |
The Championship Karting International Florida Cup presented by Supertune USA and DeFrancesco Racing is pleased to announce a host of contingency award sponsors for the inaugural season. While teams and drivers look to fight for more than $130,000 in cash and prizes, competitors can also win awards, gift certificates and product by following the guidelines of contingency sponsors.
Joining the contingency sponsor lineup will be the following companies: TDC Gaskets, On Track Promotions, DID Chain and Leatt Brace. While each and individual program is tailored differently drivers are required to register for the Contingency Package prior to Saturday Qualifying of each and every event. After registered, drivers, will be to use the sponsors’ product during all competitive elements of the 2010 CKI Florida Cup Event in which they registered for the contingency program. Drivers and chassis will be inspected at random to ensure that proper use of the required contingency equipment is in order.
Contingency award breakdown:
T.D.C Sprockets
- A TDC Sprocket Gift Card to all podium finishers after combined points for both Saturday and Sunday’s racing action
On Track Promotions
- Personal website design credit for all first and second place podium finishers after combined points for both Saturday and Sunday’s racing action
D.I.D. Chain
- $10 Cash for all podium finishers after combined points for both Saturday and Sunday’s racing action
LEATT Brace
- $25 Cash for event winner after combined points for both Saturday and Sunday’s racing action

The Championship Karting International program and WSK North American Series will next see action with their first annual CKI Florida Cup presented by Supertune USA and DeFrancesco Racing. With the program taking place at the Homestead Karting Center just south of Miami, Florida, the Florida Cup Series will award more than $130,000.00 in cash and prizes including a brand new Mazda 3.
