Drivers News: Another Honnor for Marc-Antoine Cardin
Last November it was announced that the Ferrari Scholarship Program, by Ferrari North America, would support a driver during the 2010 Florida Winter Tour. When the organisators of the program saw that much answers, they could not do anything else than decide to support, not only one driver, but two. The two drivers who have been chosen are both of the Junior Rotax category. We are talking about Jesus Rios, from Florida, and Marc-Antoine Cardin, rookie in the category, from Sorel, QC.

To win, the drivers had to write a 300 word essay explaining why they should receive the support’s program by Ferrari North America, and they also had to explain how the program would help them in their racing program. The awards win the entry fee, driver pit pass, one set of tires and one liter of oil for the 2010 Florida Winter Tour, and also one custom FWT/Ferrari Driving Experience graphics package for their kart. For what concers Marc-Antoine Cardin, this is a text explaining his ambition in the regional races, his enthusiasm to be rookie in the Junior Rotax category as well as the help they would give him in his racing program, which made him winner.

Hard weekend in Florida
After the first weekend to the 2010 Florida Winter Tour, Marc-Antoine and his team are coming back to the Quebec as taking the weekend as a first experience for them. The chief mecanix’s driver explains us that some mecanix problems are at the origin why Marc-Antoine did not finish on a really good note. They even retain beneficts and take it as a really good experience for the driver. Because the track was dented, the driver had to adjust his piloting, to be more technical. Marc-Antoine gave us his impressions as saying: ‘‘what I retain is that there is a lot of ‘’bumbing’’, and if you don’t take the chance to pass someone when you see the opportunity, you will stay behind this one for the rest of the race. We will try to do better next time, I hope it will be better. ’’ He also told us that the piloting is similar to the one in Quebec, and that there are a lot of talented drivers.

The next round is in February, this is with a rest moment that the team will be able to think about their approach as well as the way to proceed abroad. This is a beautiful opportunity for Marc-Antoine Cardin to go on the track with the Ferrari’s colors, and to be seen. Let’s hope that he will have more chance at the next round.
