Club News: Simcoe Kart Club Entered in Bolton Christmas Parade

Simcoe Kart Club has once again entered a float in Boltonís Christmas Parade that takes place on Saturday, Dec. 3. Having been presented with the Recognition Award by the Kinsmen Club of Bolton for Best New Entry, SKC is once again faced with the challenge, as seen in this photo at http://www.boltonkin.com/parade.htm , of outdoing itself this year.

SKC is meeting on Friday, Dec. 2, at 4:30 pm at Cavalier Transportation Services Inc., in their warehouse located at 390 Healy Rd., Bolton, On., L73 5C1 Ė Contact: Geordie Ledson, cell: 416.936.2495, email: galedson@cavalier.ca . This is where we will setup the float with the SKC banners, racing go karts and flags, Christmas trees, lights, decorations, and all the related trimmings. We invite our members, and racing friends, to bring their karts to the warehouse where we will display some of your karts on the float, and have others drive theirs on the road alongside the float on Saturday.

The Christmas parade takes place on Saturday, Dec. 3. We will meet at 9:15 am at Cavalier and make our way to Queensgate Blvd., where the parade starts at 11:00 am. The parade then travels north on Queen Str. (Hwy 50), and ends at 12:30 pm at the cenotaph on Centennial Drive.

Racing suits and helmets are required for both the racers that will be in their karts driving on the roads, and those that will be positioned on the float. For all others wishing to stand or sit on the float, we ask that you wear Christmas related apparel or colours.

Please call Geordie Ledson or send him an email as soon as possible to RSVP your attendance. Letís see as many karters there as possible to promote our exciting family friendly sport and especially Simcoe Kart Club!

See you there!
