Industry News: PSL Montreal Takes Over Karting Services at Circuit ICAR

After the grand opening of the PSL Montreal retail store, service department, and karting school in May of last year at Circuit ICAR in Mirabel, Quebec, the PSL/CRG dealer is pleased to announce an expansion of their kart racing services. Taking over control of kart memberships, owner storage, as well as track access and activities, PSL Montreal now offers a full line of track services in addition to their CRG race karts, parts and service, arrive-and-drive programs, racing schools and transportation services.

With Circuit ICAR maintaining the recreational rentals, the PSL Montreal team will now focus on serving kart owners, members and guests, with their myriad of kart racing services. Annual memberships and day track access passes will now be processed through PSL Montreal, as well as annual or monthly kart storage options.

PSL Montreal will also continue their popular karting race schools at their location. The PSL Karting Schools, powered by Briggs & Stratton, offers comprehensive training and all ASN requirements to obtain a race diploma, as well as kart tuning advice by experienced PSL Karting staff.

The first two-day school with two-time World Champion Pier-Luc Ouellette at PSL Montreal is set for April 21-22, and offers the added incentive of training with one of the world’s best.

PSL Montreal will also host eight club events in 2012 as part of the PSL Karting Club Championship at ICAR, with Briggs & Stratton awarding opportunities to race with Team PSL Karting in the Eastern Canadian Karting Championship in 2013.

Weeknight club activities with the PSL Team will also be offered through PSL Montreal.

The PSL Montreal ICAR karting circuit will also play host to the second round of the 2012 Eastern Canadian Karting Championship, as top karting pilots in Canada will take to the 1-km long track, designed by the 1997 F1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve, on June 17.

A PSL day with the team transporter is also in the works for the ICAR Le Club opening day on Sunday, April 29. Continuing the festivities, Monday night, April 30, PSL Montreal will host a technical clinic and then on Tuesday morning, May 1, Pier-Luc Ouellette will join PSL Montreal for a media day.

With PSL Montreal now in control of track services and activities, these events are certain to be must-attend events on the 2012 karting calendar!

"I am very happy with us taking over all the race kart segments at the ICAR complex, it will give the customers the super PSL service from A to Z in terms of their karting needs!" explained PSL Montreal’s Louis-Philippe Gelinas. "We will organize plenty of activities on track! Lapping with pros, tech seminars, club races, school championships and plenty more! I can’t wait to start!"
