On Tuesday (May 1) at 8.15 pm at the Giacomo Romanelli Stadium in Firenze, Italy, there will be the opening match of the Nazionale Piloti’s new season. After a very successful 30th season, the team with the strongest motorsport champions, will go up against the A.C. (Heart and Love) Mugello, composed of industrial men, artists, and ex football players.
In the first match of the new and exciting season, organized during the Formula One test on the Mugello Circuit and the “Sport, Research, Charity: the Great Heart of Mugello”, it will benefit the Centro Scientifico Multidisciplinare Bioscienze in Borgo San Lorenzo.
The drivers confirmed for the match are the youngest twice F1 World Champion and 2011 Champion Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull F1), Mexican driver Sergio Perez (Sauber), who was on the podium for the first time in his career and he finished very close to the win at the Malaysia Grand Prix, the Russian Vitaly Petrov (Caterham F1), who likes very well to play with the team, Force India third driver, 2012 World Series Renault driver, and Ferrari Driver Academy member Jules Bianchi, who made his Formula One debut in Chinese Grand Prix first free practice, Italian Emanuele Pirro, five-time winner of the 24 Le Mans-Hours and a FIA Steward in China and in Bahrain, Italian Giancarlo Fisichella (Scuderia Ferrari), the winner of the 2011 drivers Le Mans Series championship, Italian Luca Filippi, the 2011 GP2 Series runner-up, Monegasque Stefano Coletti (Coloni GP2), in his second season of GP2 Series, Colombian Julian Leal (Trident GP2) in his second year of GP2 Series, Angolan Ricardo Teixeira (Rapax GP2), coming back to GP2 Series after two years, Kevin Ceccon (Ocean Racing GP3), the 2011 AutoGP winner and GP3 Series rookie, the very young Niccolò Antonelli (San Carlo Gresini Moto 3) in his debut in the Bike World Championship, Canadian Gianmarco Raimondo (RP Motorsport F3 Euro Open), a new entry in the team in his F3 Euro Open debut, Italian Eddie Cheever (Prema F3 European Series), a protagonist in the first race in the 2012 Italian F3 European Series, the Italian Fabrizio Lai, a Superbike driver in 2011, German Maro Engel, who was protagonist in the DTM serieslast year, San Marino's Christian Montanari, a protagonist in Superstars, and Rai technical speaker Ivan Capelli (RaiSport).
The tickets are available at the Giacomo Romanelli Stadium, the Centro Medico Bio Scienze, the Pubblica Assistenza Centro Radio Soccorsonzo, the Redazione Ok Mugello, Radio Mugello, and the Bar Ponterosso.
The cost of a ticket is 5€. The funds raised will support projects carried out by local volunteer medical and scientific research, in particular at the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of major diseases such as thyroid and gastrointestinal tract.
