| Simcoe Kart Club 2012 Season Gets Under Way |
The Simcoe Kart Club starts its 2012 racing season this Sunday (May 6), at 3-S Go Karts in Sutton together with the Innisfil and Toronto kart clubs.
The classes contesting at this event are Novice, Junior Lite, Junior Heavy, Honda Senior, Masters, Rotax Mini-Max, Junior Rotax/TaG, Senior Rotax/TaG and F125 ICC Shifter karts. The track configuration being used is the Senna course raced in the counter clockwise direction. This is the same layout for the first Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship Series event that takes place in Sutton on May 20-21.
Sunday’s race is sponsored by 3-S Go Karts, with all the classes receiving trophies, and all the Novice class racers receive trophies. There will be t-shirts, draw prizes, as well as a 50 /50 draw. Open practice is available all week. There is no charge for parking, and camping is free.
There is no entry fee for racers that have purchased their annual Simcoe Kart Club membership and 3-S Go Karts track membership. Introduced in 2011, this special Race for Free with SKC! package waives all practice and entry fees for SKC races that take place in Sutton. The entry fee for karters that have not taken advantage of this huge cost savings special discounted offer pay $50.00 for practice, and $75.00 for registration.
All ASN affiliated club members are welcome to join the action for the season-opener, and every Simcoe Kart Club event that takes place in Sutton.
There promises to be no shortage of racing action this weekend, as everyone initiates their quest to achieve an SKC class championship title that rewards each year-end champion with the presentation of the club’s iconic 10 carat solid gold and 15 diamonds ring.
