STOUFFVILLE, ONT. (May 22, 2012) - Max Preston of Team Sparco Racing is pleased to announce that he will be racing with Intrepid North America this season and is looking for some good results this year.

Under the guidance of Intrepid North America, and using the 2012 Intrepid Cruiser M2 chassis and power by HRS, he feels that he has the right race package to make that happen this year.

The first on track sessions were at Goodwood during the TRAK and MIKA club race being held at the famed Goodwood track right after the track renovation had been completed.

Preston was very impressed with the new pavement.

"This facility, is spectacular for kart racing. Koodo's to all involved for making this happen.

"I am honoured to be involved with the facility and this team, and I look to post some good results on behalf of the team," he added.

Preston did show good speed and pace right off from the start. It did not take long to clean off the rust from not racing since August of last year.

In a field of over 30 drivers, he maintained pace and finished a respectful fifth. With some solid testing scheduled for this week, Preston and his mechanic Dale Millard are looking to be up front in the upcoming ECKC race this weekend.

"I was so impressed with the performance of my new Intrepid chassis and along with my new HRS prepared Rotax engine," stated Preston. "This will allow me the best chance for some solid results."

"Max did well to finish inside the top-five in his first race since mid 2011," said Marco Di Leo, Manager of the Intrepid North America team. "I look forward to helping him find success throughout the season."

Team Sparco plans on attending all ECKC events, the Canadian Nationals along with the Pan American championship later in the early fall.

Max Preston's sponsors include Teamsparco.com, Franks hot sauce, Auto One leasing, and Tin Cup bar and grill, and he wishes to thank them for the support.
