After an impressive performance at the recent Coupe du Quebec/Eastern Canadian Karting Championship event with team driver Santino Ferrucci, Energy Kart Canada has now shifted its focus to their Gamebridge, Ont. facility.

With their final safety inspection imminent and a mid-July track opening scheduled, the entire crew at Energy Kart Canada will spend the Canada Day long weekend (June 30-July 2) putting the finishing touches on the track and building.

"We have to spend the weekend finishing up painting and putting the final touches on the track before our final safety inspection," commented Energy Kart Canada principal Ravinder Sanghera. "We are looking forward to opening the track in mid-July for visitors renting karts and owner/operators to enjoy the Gamebridge circuit once again. It's been a long trek getting everything going. The task is difficult; a lot of red tape, but it will all be worth it. Look out for announcement that we are open and come and visit us at Gamebridge."

Additionally, Energy Kart Canada will be busy preparing for the upcoming Kart Stars Grand Prix of Toronto. Taking place during the Honda Indy Toronto over the July 6-8 weekend, Team Energy Canada will field an entry in Rotax Junior and is excited about this unique event.

"We are very pleased with all who are involved and the hard work they have put in to make this event happen," continued Sanghera. "We are looking forward to an exciting day of racing."

The event will see karters race right alongside the stars of the IZOD IndyCar series during the Honda Indy Toronto event. A seven-turn, bullring-style temporary circuit set in the infield of the famed street course at Exhibition Place will play host to the inaugural event, which is sure to be an experience to remember for the whole Energy Kart Canada team.
