| Mosport International Karting Association Ready to Host Annual Summer Festival |
This weekend (July 14-15), Mosport International Karting Association will once again host their annual Summer Festival (Race 6 & 7).
This years track configuration for Saturday will be the long track run in reverse, however, Sunday will be a change with the track run as usual in a counter clockwise direction but with the loss of the top bowl.
Practice is available on Friday from 10 am to 5 pm. Drivers may also register for the weekend on Friday from 1 pm to 5 pm. Registration is open at 7:30 am on Saturday and Sunday.
Drivers Briefing takes place at 8:45 am, the on track action will start at 9:00 am with practice.
Entry fees for MIKA members are $70 per class per day, and non MIKA members pay $80 per class per day.
Cash prize awards are once again being presented both days in all classes with entries of 8+, awards are $100.00 for first prize $75.00 for second place, and $50 for third place.
The classes on offer in Race 6 & 7 are Honda Junior Heavy, Honda Senior, Honda Masters, Briggs and Stratton Senior & Masters, Rotax Mini Max, Rotax Junior, Rotax Senior, Rotax Masters, and Rotax DD2.
Competitors, family and friends are all encouraged to camp over on the Saturday night at no additional charge. There will free entrance Saturday night at the Speedway (wristband required) for those adrenalin junkies who can’t get enough motor sport action. Hosts Ken and Robyn Flute will once again be putting on the traditional corn roast. Vivian Medeiros will be hosting a barbecue with proceeds going towards cancer care.
The Mosport International Karting Association looks forward to seeing all the racers there for what promises to be a great weekend full of fun, excitement and good racing.
