Kawartha Durham Kart Club has announced it will be hosting their annual charity event at Kawartha Downs and Speedway on Sunday (August 12), to benefit Northumberland Fare Share Food Banks.
The club welcomes all racers to take part in an event that will feature great racing on the high banks of Kawartha Speedway, fun events, and prizes throughout the day for drivers and guests, as well as much more. KDKC welcomes additional support from eagle.ca internet provider and internet business solutions, Limelight Advertising & Design of Port Hope, Whitby Toyota Scion, Kawartha Downs and Speedway, and the Bridgestone Racing Academy located at the Mosport Driver Development Centre.
Classes for the day will include Novice, Junior Lite & Heavy, Senior Lite, Heavy & Masters. Rotax Mini-Max, sponsored by Simnet, will be a featured class for the day, and other classes to be added if there is interest.
Cost for racers is $75 per class or $70 and a non-perishable food item, and spectators are encouraged to attend, free of charge.
