Canadian National Champions Crowned in Mont-Tremblant
A total of nine karters are now Canadian National Championships, following the conclusion of the 2012 ASN Canada FIA Canadian Karting Championships on Sunday (August 26) at Le Circuit Karting in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec.
Action Heats Up at Canadian Karting Championships
The quest for national titles and Team Canada places continued on Saturday (August 25), as numerous drivers made their mark during day two of the ASN Canada FIA Canadian Karting Championships. With all nine classes (Rotax DD2, Rotax Senior, Rotax DD2 Masters, Rotax Junior, Rotax Mini Max, Rotax Micro Max, Briggs & Stratton Senior, Briggs & Stratton Masters, and Briggs Stratton Junior) running their remaining two heat races, and the Briggs & Stratton contingent contesting their pre-Finals, the stage is now set for a thrilling conclusion at the Le Circuit Karting in Mont-Tremblant, Que.
Canadian Karting Championships Underway at Mont-Tremblant
The chase for national championship honours and a place on the Team Canada roster is officially underway at the Le Circuit Karting in Mont-Tremblant, Que., with the completion of day one (Friday, August 24) of the ASN Canada FIA Canadian Karting Championships. Under sunny skies, nine classes (Rotax DD2, Rotax Senior, Rotax DD2 Masters, Rotax Junior, Rotax Mini Max, Rotax Micro Max, Briggs & Stratton Senior, Briggs & Stratton Masters, and Briggs Stratton Junior) classes contested 'Super Pole Friday' qualifying and the first of three Heat races.

Mazzaferro Sets Sights on National Title
MONTREAL, QUE. (August 23, 2012) - Gianfranco Mazzaferro, a member of the Ferrolati Corse Karting Team, will take to the Circuit Karting Mont Tremblant for five days of national competition as the best kart racers from across Canada look to hoist a National Championship on Super Sunday.
The 12 year-old racer from Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Que., has already secured a place in the 2012 record books by taking the Eastern Canadian Karting Championship Rotax Mini Max title a few short weeks ago. Mazzaferro and tuner Nick Cosca have been on top of their game through out the season as GF looks to close out the campaign in Canada with his first national title. Piloting a Zanardi Kart from SH Karting of St. Hilaire, Que., Mazzaferro calls Mont Tremblant his second home, and has seen success at the world-class karting complex over the past few seasons.

Matthew and Nicholas Latifi to Contest Canadian Nationals
TORONTO, ONT. (August 23, 2012) - Matthew Latifi (9) and Nicholas Latifi (17), both members of the Sofina Foods Drivers' Development Program and competing for the Ferrolati Corse Karting team, head to the natural beauty of Mont Tremblant to participate in the 2012 ASN Canada FIA Canadian National Karting Championships.
This will mark the fourth appearance for Nicholas, while Matthew will be making his first start at Canada's biggest karting event. Both drivers are heading into the weekend with a championship already in hand, as they each look to lock up a major milestone on home soil. The elder Latifi has had success at the Nationals, hitting the podium in 2010 in just his second appearance and earning a spot on Team Canada in Rotax Junior Max.

PSL Moncton Ready for ASN Canadian National Karting Championships
MONCTON, N.B. (August 22, 2012) – The PSL Moncton racing team travels to the beautiful Le Circuit Karting Mont-Tremblant in Quebec for the annual ASN Canadian National Karting Championships this week. The seven-member satellite PSL Karting team will utilize CRG chassis to compete in mainly the Briggs & Stratton classes seeking Canadian National glory.
The team has focused on their Briggs & Stratton program all season long, and feels very confident in the team travelling to the Nationals.

Team SRA/Birel Ready for the National Championships
ST-ROCH-DE-L'ACHIGAN (August 21, 2012) - Team SRA and its drivers are ready to tackle the karting event of the year in Canada. Whether to claim the title of Canadian Champion or to obtain a spot at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final, the SRA Birel drivers are ready to give everything they’ve got this weekend at the Mont-Tremblant track.
In the Rotax Jr class, SRA have five aspiring drivers for the world final in Olivier Bédard, Nicolas Doré, Jeffrey Kingsley, Cédrick Lupien and Allan Moreau. They have all achieved excellent results in 2012, so the battle could be very interesting!
Super Pole Friday Announced for Canadian Karting Championships
Canadian Tire ASN Canada FIA Canadian Karting Championships officials have announced the creation of 'Super Pole Friday' for the 2012 edition of the National championship.
Further adding to the excitement of the Canadian Karting Championships and the impressive prize list at this year's National championship, Canadian Tire will reward the top qualifiers at the Le Circuit Karting in Mont Tremblant.

Energy Kart Canada to Contest Canadian National Championships
GAMEBRIDGE, ONT. (August 18, 2012) - After the grand opening of their Gamebridge facility and track just a month ago, Energy Kart Canada has now turned their focus to the premier Canadian karting event, the 2012 ASN Canada FIA Canadian National Championships. Rui Teixeira and Austin Milwain will contest the ultra-competitive Rotax Senior category, with both trying to secure Energy Kart Canada their first major Canadian karting title.
"Both drivers have been preparing for the Nationals with Energy both on and off the track to be sure to be ready," explained Ravinder Sanghera, Energy Kart Canada principal. "Energy is pleased with both its drivers. We are looking forward to the challenge and what is sure to be a great event."

First-ever BSRKC Briggs & Stratton Sr. Bear Winner Treadwell and K&K Heads to Tremblant
ORILLIA, ONT. (August 17, 2012) - Team K&K coming off some major wins, will be heading to Mt. Tremblant this week to contest the ASN Canadian National Championships.
Leading the charge will be Jonathon Treadwell, who just recently won the first-Ever Briggs Sr. BSRKC Bear at the Shannonville BSRKC Ontario Championships. Treadwell who has won seven BSRKC Championships and numerous BSRKC Bears, also wrapped up the 2012 BSRKC Honda Med. Championship, leads the Senior Lite category, and is second in Senior Hvy.
Mont-Tremblant Confirms Added Practice Day Ahead of Canadian Karting Championships
Le Circuit Karting Mont-Tremblant officials have announced that the track will be open on Sunday, August 19, in order for participants to practice for the 2012 Canadian Tire ASN Canada FIA Canadian Karting Championships, which runs August 24-26.
Initially, the host track for the Canadian Karting Championship was to be closed on the Sunday prior to the national championship event due to the town of Tremblant playing host to a Ironman competition. Le Circuit Karting have, however, elected to stay open in order to give competitors the chance of added track time prior to the prestigious year-end event.
Live Broadcast and Timing & Scoring Announced for Canadian Karting Championships
Officials are excited to announce that the 2012 edition of the Canadian Tire ASN Canada FIA Canadian Karting Championships (August 24-26) will feature live broadcast and timing & scoring coverage from Le Circuit Karting in Mont Tremblant, Que.
Ensuring fans and supporters of the karters vying for national titles at the Canadian Karting Championships can keep up with all the action, all three days of on-track action will be broadcast via the internet. In conjunction with a yet to be named Canadian service provider, qualifying, three heat races, pre-final, and the final for all nine classes (Rotax DD2, Rotax Senior, Rotax Junior, Rotax Masters, Rotax Mini Max, Rotax Micro Max, and Briggs & Stratton Senior, Junior and Masters) will be available online at http://www.maxchallenge.ca/2012-asn-live/index.htm . In addition interviews and post-race celebrations will be covered.
Canadian Karting Championships Information Available
In late August (24-26), the top karters from throughout Canada will gather at Le Circuit Karting in Mont Tremblant, Que., for the 2012 edition of the Canadian Tire ASN Canada FIA Canadian Karting Championships.

Briggs & Stratton LO206 Rental Program Announced for Canadian Karting Championships
Briggs & Stratton Racing, Power Source Canada, and the Briggs & Stratton Racing dealers of Canada are excited to offer a new 206 rental program for the ASN Canada FIA Canadian Karting Championships taking place at Mont-Tremblant, Que., on August 24-26.
A limited number of rental engines will be available through participating dealers for racers currently not running a 206 race engine.
