| Driver News: Multi-time Champion Mazzaferro Makes Junior Rotax Debut |

MONTREAL, QUE. (January 15, 2013) - Gianfranco Mazzaferro, a member of the Ferrolati Corse Karting Team, will kick off his Junior Rotax career as he heads to Palm Beach International Raceway this weekend for the 2013 Florida Winter Tour campaign.
Mazzaferro got an early start running this past weekend in the Formula Kart class, where he logged some solid results in a top-flight field of drivers. The 12 year-old racer is embarking in his first season in the Junior ranks, following a successful debut in the classification at the recent SuperKarts USA SuperNationals held in Las Vegas. The talented teen will once again work with tuner Nick Cosco to field a Zanardi Kart in the Formula TaG Junior class. With a full slate of back-to-back racing through the winter months, GF will be looking to progress through the field of international top talent.
"I am so excited to get the season started," commented Mazzaferro. "Vegas was a tough place to do my first Junior race and we didn't get the results I wanted. But we have been testing over the holidays, and I am really looking forward to the season. The Florida Winter Tour always has tough competition and deep fields, especially in Rotax. We are looking to use the Formula Kart TaG weekend to prepare and test."
With three major titles earned 2012, Mazzaferro and the Ferrolati Corse team have been preparing for the move to Junior for several months. This included a recent trip to Florida to take in several days of development with engine builder Alex Vincent, and run in a local club race at the Homestead Karting Center. Mazzaferro ran in the TaG Junior class with Parilla Leopard power running at the front of the field through the weekend.
GF and the Ferrolati Corse Karting Team hit the PBIR track this past weekend for rounds one and two of the FWT Formula Kart weekend, followed by the first of three doubleheader weekends of Rotax racing action.
