| Toronto Kart Club Discover Karting Day Announced |
The Toronto Kart Club will host a 'Discover Karting Day' on Sunday, February 24, with the goal of bringing more people into the first step of motorsports.
The Toronto Kart Club has a long history of providing entry level motorsports in the form of kart racing. The goal is to make each and every event safe, fun and fair for everyone!
One of the first things to do if you are serious about racing is to join the club where you intend to race. The reason this is so important is that your club will have a number of classes that are normally divided by driver age and engine type (and to some degree driver and kart weight). This is important when selecting the right kart based on the class you intend to race in. Your kart club is also your first source of information.
Those who join the Toronto Kart Club obtain an interclub racing license, have access to technical information such as chassis set up, engine tuning, kart alignment, and tire management, receive support and comaradery among other members, and can participate in a season-long championship battle.
Senior TKC members are eager to teach new members, and offer help to get them quickly on their way.
It all starts during the 'Discover Karting Day' open house at 320 Newkirk Rd., Richmond Hill, Ont., on February 24, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.. For those who want to see what karting is about, please stop by and check out some of our members racing karts and safety gear all on display. For those members wanting to get a head start on preparing their kart, the shop will be open to get some of that work done. The Toronto Kart Club looks forward to seeing everyone there! |
