| TRAK Confirms 2013 Schedule and General Meeting |
Toronto Racing Association of Karters officials are excited to announce the 2013 race schedule, with 14 races on tap for the upcoming season.
The pursuit of championship honours for the Goodword Karting-based TRAK club, as usual, commences via the traditional Spring Training day on April 13. While not an official series race, 15 bonus points are on tap for those taking part. One week later, Race 1 will feature the talented field of drivers taking to the long track configuration for the first of five times. After two more races in early May, the first of two travel races takes place as the title fight makes its way to Mosport via a combined event with Mosport International Karting Association. Two return visits to the Goodwood track follow in June, before the TRAK racers showcase their talents at the Toronto Indy on the Canadian National Exhibition grounds as part of the second annual Kart Stars event. The second half of the 2013 campaign features multiple challenges for the TRAK racers at Goodwood, with a two-stage endurance race, a night race, and running in conjunction with the Canadian Karting Championships. The championship chase culminates with Race 14 on October 12.
Prior to all the drivers going head-to-head for supremacy in the various classes, the TRAK members and future members have additional events to circle on their calendar.
First up is the club on display during the 40th annual Canadian International AutoShow, which runs until February 24th in Toronto at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
The second is the Annual General Meeting on March 3rd. Held at Formula Kartways - 79 Bramsteel Rd in Brampton, Ont., commencing at 1 pm - the meeting will go over all the details for the 2013 race year, and feature a couple special announcements.
In addition, TRAK officials are pleased to again announce a special 'Early Bird' membership rate is available until March 1, with the membership/registration form available HERE.
