| Kawartha Durham Kart Club Announces Tentative 2013 Schedule |
The chase for Kawartha Durham Kart Club top honours is sure to be another exciting affair in 2013, with officials announcing a tentative schedule featuring 13 races.
The talented KDKC racers will first hit the track on April 28, with a practice day and rookie in-kart training taking place on the day prior. The lone travel date takes place one week later, when Race 2 runs at 3-S Go Karts in Sutton in conjunction with the Toronto Kart Club and Sutton Kart Club. After one more race in mid-May and a race in early June, the first 'special event' race of the year takes place on June 16, via the Father's Day with Powder Puff affair. Another practice day will take place the day prior. The three race run during the month of July ends with the TKC and SKC racers joining the KDKC clan for the eagle.ca Charity Karting Challenge and BBQ event. August only features one scheduled race, allowing the drivers and families to enjoy some summer time away from the track prior to the late season push for series titles. The traditional and popular night race is slated for Race 11 in late September. The action concludes with the Thanksgiving Day Pot Luck dinner event in early October, and Race 13 on October 20th.
Prior to the karts rolling on-course in the quest for club supremacy, the annual Spring Meeting and rookie in-class training will take place on March 23.
Please note, the 2013 KDKC schedule can change due to the harness racing schedule at Kawartha Downs and Speedway, so drivers and teams are encouraged to check the club website on a regular basis.
