|
|
Hi folks,
While my work with eKartingNews.com keeps me flying all over the US, and occasionally overseas, I will be getting back to my roots this year with a number of events in Ontario. I'm going to do a little racing, and will be attending a handful of Saturday mornings with my old friends at the Waterloo Regional Kart Club in 2012.
My question now is this: I'd also like to attend a couple of big one-off events, pending schedule availability, so I'd like to hear feedback on some of the cool special events. I know the regional series, but what about one-off races? Let me know what you think. _________________ Rob Howden

| If you're running 4 cycle then you have to attend the Mosport King of the Hill event, awesome drafting, especially with the Masters. |

What's the basic premise of the event? Is it just a special one-off race, or do they run a unique configuration? _________________ Rob Howden

Hey Rob, if you want to have fun racing in honda masters, you should race in shannonville. Its extremely fun and there are around 30 drivers per class. After the event, you can win prizes, from soccer balls to brake cleaners. (Don't know if they still do it, was not there in 2011). If you want to be surrounded by honda engines 24/7 shannonville is the place.

Richard,
I love Shannonville and ran there in the mid-to-late 90s when it was the OKRA Grand Nationals. Great track, great atmosphere. However, I think it's normally the first weekend of August and I'll be at Mid-Ohio that weekend announcing the USF2000 events there. I would LOVE to be able to attend Shannonville, but the date just doesn't work. If I'm wrong, let me know. _________________ Rob Howden
