This weekend marks the completion of the 2012 Gatorz Challenge of the Americas program, set to battle at the CalSpeed Karting facility outside the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA. The title chase in five of the seven categories racing on the weekend are still up for grabs, setting up for an exciting weekend trackside.

Three tickets (Senior, DD2, Junior) to the Rotax Grand Finals are on the line for the championship drivers in those categories with the remaining divisions gunning for entry to the US Rotax Grand Nationals or Rotax Pan American Challenge. A preview of each championship battle is published here: http://www.ekartingnews.ca/news_info.php?n=7372

EKN will be in Fontana for the popular 'Trackside Live' program, featuring live audio and live timing. EKN's own Rob Howden will be the voice you hear from qualifying to the main event on both days with Race-Monitor.com providing live scoring feed. Be sure to visit www.ekartingnews.com/live throughout the weekend. Check this thread for updates and top-10 results of each on-track session, or follow them on our Facebook page or on Twitter.

EKN Trackside Live: Saturday, March 31, 2012

Welcome race fans!

The track is hot for morning warm-up here at CalSpeed Karting, and we're clouded over right now with a heavy fog and some dew. Temperatures are cool this morning, in the low 50s, but we're expecting it to rise to high 60s come mid-day. We're expecting some hardcore racing today as the championships are up for grabs, as are the tickets to the Rotax Grand Finals.

We're scheduled to go live with our streaming audio broadcast at 9:40 am Pacific, as qualifying will get underway for Junior Max.

We'd like to take the time to thank the sponsors of this weekends broadcast:

Rolison Performance Group
Whisler Racing Services
Courtney Concepts
Kart Sport North America
and Full Throttle Karting

We hope you enjoy the broadcast, and feel free to fire the link how to all your friends on Facebook and Twitter.

www.ekartingnews.com/live

You can ask questions on this thread and we'll do our best to track down the answers.
